A chieftain of the Social Democratic Party, SPD, Honourable Kehinde Oladapo Adegboye has officially declared his intention to contest for the Essa, Shawo, Igboidun Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly.

A Makurdi High Court in Benue State has acquitted Andrew Ogbuja, a lecturer at the Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, who was charged along with his son, Victor, for serially raping and causing the death of a 13 year-old schoolgirl, Ochanya Ogbaje.
