A chieftain of the Social Democratic Party, SPD, Honourable Kehinde Oladapo Adegboye has officially declared his intention to contest for the Essa, Shawo, Igboidun Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly.
He made this declaration on Sunday at his Essa ‘A’ Ward during the Party’s ward meeting.
Speaking on his decision, Adegboye assured the people of his competence and suitability to represent the constituency in the State House of Assembly in the coming elections.
He said that he had diligently contributed to his community during his meritorious service years in the banking sector with honesty, hard-work, competence and high Integrity before his successful retirement and that he needed a higher platform to do more and better for many of his constituents.
“I’m here now to declare that I am suitable to run for the House of Assembly.
“A lot will come to our constituency through me. I intend to be a servant and a change agent for quality representation. Therefore, I have come to solicit for your supports and prayers.
“I’m willing to work for the good people of my constituency in particular and to embrace a profound and solid Offa agenda for rapid development”.
I’m your child and I want to serve the people of this constituency,” Adegboye informed the party executives and members.
He promised to contribute more to the growth of Offa generally and to work in unison with other members of the Assembly.
The ward chairman of the party, Mr AbdulRafiu Sanusi described Adegboye as a seasoned banker whose wealth of experience in banking service and exposure to due diligence during his banking career was highly commendable and blemishless.
He expressed delight for his aspiration and prayed for Adegboye’s successful selection and subsequently, emerging as the flagbearer of the party.
Mr. Sanusi expressed faith in the party and predicted victory in the elections.
