The Japan International Agency (JICA) on Tuesday, donated agricultural inputs to 1,500 farmers across 10 states in Nigeria to cushion effects of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The farmers drawn from Edo, Ekiti, Kogi, Benue, Oyo, Ogun, Gombe, Borno, Katsina and Ebonyi benefited from the donations received through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Ministry of Mines and Steel Development flagged off its airborne geophysical survey activity sensitisation programme in Kwara on Tuesday.
The survey is to cover 19 states and the FCT and will go full blast on June 21.
It reports also that the survey will cover 112 local government areas in the states concerned.
Backed by the Minerals Sector Support for Economic Diversification Project (MINDIVER), a World Bank-assisted project in the ministry, the survey will determine accurate mineral locations, using modern-day aeromagnetic mechanism.
Ericsson, a multinational telecommunications company says that 5G will soon become the fastest adopted mobile generation in history.
Ericsson made this known in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos, noting that subscriptions were increasing at a rate of about a million per day.
According to the report, China, North America and the Gulf Cooperation Council markets are leading the way on subscriber numbers, while Europe is off to a slow start.
It said that 5G subscriptions with a 5G-capable device grew by 70 million during the first quarter of 2021 and is forecast to reach 580 million by the end of 2021.
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday received the first made in Nigeria cell phone, known as ITF Mobile.
The Minister of Industry, trade and Investment, Adeniyi Adebayo, presented the phone to the president, before the commencement of Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
According to Adebayo, the phone is one of the 12 cell phones produced, using locally sourced components, by the Electrical/Electronics Technology Department of the Industrial Training Fund’s (ITF) Model Skills Training Centre.
