FUTA suspends student who allegedly hacked Premium Times website
The Federal University of Technology, Akure, (FUTA) has suspended a student, Mr Afolabi Emmanuel, for allegedly hacking the website of Premium Times, an online news publication.
The suspension was made known in Akure on Wednesday in a statement made available by Mr Adegbenro Adebayo, the university’s Deputy Director of Corporate Communications.
2 students arraigned over alleged cult membership
Two students, Leonard Aluor and Chijioke Awoh, were, on Wednesday, arraigned before a Makurdi Chief Magistrates’ Court over alleged membership of a secret cult.
Court remands student for allegedly sodomising woman
A Magistrates’ Court in Makurdi on Wednesday ordered that 30-year-old student, John Iornongo, who allegedly knocked out a woman unconscious and sodomised her,be remanded in police custody, pending legal advice.
The police charged Iornongo with one count of unnatural offence.

Trial of Offa robbery suspects stalled as courts remain shut
The trial of the suspects of April 5,2018 Offa bank robbery could not continue yesterday as the doors of the court of the trial judge, Justice Haleema Saleeman were under lock and keys.
Though, the prisons officials arrived the court premises at 9.05am with all the five suspects, there were no court officials to open the court room for them.
