The abducted wife of Pastor Johnson Ajiboye, of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Mrs Bola Ajiboye, has been set free.

She was released by her abductors on Wednesday, after payment of N1m ransom along with foodstuffs, sources confirmed.

The sources however, further disclosed that the yet to be identified person who went to deliver the ransom and the foodstuffs, was seized after delivery of the items.

Mrs Ajiboye, was reportedly kidnapped on Thursday night at Elerinjare village, near Idofian town, in Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara state.

During the operation which occurred at her house, one of her daughters escaped miraculously amid sporadic gunshots sound.

The kidnappers reportedly struck at about 9pm.

Reports said the pastor heard gunshots, only to discover later that his wife had been snatched from home while their daughter escaped.

In a reaction, the spokesman of the state police command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, on Thursday, said “I don’t have any comment on that for now please,”
