The Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Monday inaugurated a new cabinet with the swearing-in of 17 commissioners and the appointment of Prince Mahe Abdul Kadir as the Secretary to the State Government.

Kadir, who is the son of the late Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Abdul Kadir (Baba Agba) was an Ex-Permanent Secretary

The event took place at the Council Chamber of the Government House Ilorin.

Speaking after the oath of office of the new members of the State Executive Council, the governor said the appointment of the new hands marks a new beginning of his administration, assuring the people of Kwara State of policies that would improve the life of the people.

 He admonished the newly sworn-in Commissioners and Permanent Secretaries to be good players, who would earn the trust of the public with exemplary conduct and commitment to the larger interest of the state and country at large. He thereafter assigned portfolios to the new commissioners.

The Governor also at the occasion announced the appointment of two Persons Living with Disabilities as Permanent Secretaries.

The Commissioners and their ministries are: Abdulganiyu AbdulAzeez (Ministry of Energy); Alhaji Aliyu Kora Sabi (Ministry of Planning and Economic Development); Sheu Ndanusa Usman (Ministry of Environment); Afolasade Opeyemi Kemi (Ministry of Social Development);Dr. Segun Ogunsola (Ministry of Housing and Urban Development); Abdulquawiy Olododo (Ministry of Solid Minerals); Senior Ibrahim Suleiman (Ministry of Justice and State Attorney General ); Dr. Hauwa Nuru (Ministry of Finance); Damilola Yusuf (Ministry of Business Innovation and Technology); Oloruntoyosi Thomas (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development); and Bola Olukoju (Ministry of Communications).

Others are, Abubakar Abdullahi Bata (Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs); Bello John Olanrewaju (Ministry of Special Duties); Dr. Amina El-Imam (Ministry of Health); Dr. Mary Arinde (Ministry of Tertiary Education); Olaitan Buraimoh (Ministry of Women Affairs) and Usman Yunusa (Ministry of Water Resources)
