Ten undergraduate students of the University of Abuja have won a grant of N3,772,000 to undertake research in their various areas of study.

The grant winners included Suleiman Ridwan Olanrewaju, Isa Adam Olamide, and Aiyedero Mercy Oluwaseun - from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; Onigbinde Collins Oluwaseun ( Faculty of Engineering); Joel Emmanuel Benson, Mathew Friday, Babalola Mathew, Owolabi Fuhad Nurudeen and Ojewole Grace Oluwaseun ( Faculty of Agriculture); and Ibrahim Dauda Abdulrahman( Faculty of Science).

The Director of the Centre for Undergraduate Research( CUR), Dr Taibat Atoyebi, according to the university bulletin, said the 10 students scaled through the screening after a plagiarism test conducted on their proposals for the grant.

She added that 46 students had expressed their interest in the grant, out of which 25 were shortlisted.
