A lecturer in the Mass Communication Department of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Ayatu Momoh, has died.

 Reports say he slumped and died at a community meeting on Sunday in Offa, Offa Local Government Area of Kwara state.

Momoh, an Igala from Kogi State, was the secretary of the Igala community in Offa and its environs.

The spokesman of the institution, Olayinka Iroye, confirmed the incident, saying it was a major loss to the Mass Communication Department and the Polytechnic.

He said the late teacher was saying the closing prayer to round off the local meeting when he slumped and died.

He further explained that the institution management has set to action in conveying the deceased to his family in Kogi State and assured that it would bear the responsibilities for his burial.
