Tottenham Hotspur camp, including players and coaching staff, has been struck by a Covid outbreak, according to report by football.london.

The report further said that tests are scheduled for today before any decision can be made over what happens next for the club’s fixtures this week

Spurs face a busy fixture schedule with the visit of Rennes in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night and then a trip to Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Next Thursday, the north London side travel to Leicester City before Liverpool visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday December 19.

However, reports of COVID gutting the camp, may have thrown Tottenham boss Antonio Conte’s plans into disarray.

Before any decision can be made over what happens next for the fixtures this week, football.london understands that those who tested positive using a lateral flow test will undergo a further PCR test on Tuesday.

The club did have two players earlier in the season recording false positive tests and then negatives on two follow-up tests.

Should this outbreak prove to be confirmed then it could affect the games ahead depending on the numbers involved and also whether any further cases emerge.
