The management of the University of Ilorin has announced dates for her 37th and 38th convocation ceremonies with programme of activities scheduled between 13th to 23th October 2023.

A special Jummat service will kick-start the event on Friday, followed by an interdenominational services at the Chapel of the Light of the institution.

Other activities, according to a release by the Directorate of Information of the institution include a press conference and media chart. procession rehearsal, convocation drama and the convocation lecture to be delivered  by the renowned historian, Professor Toyin Falola of the department of History at the University of Texas, Austin, United States of America, (USA).

The convocation lecture, titled “Modernity, Modernisation and Values”  will hold on Friday 20th at the University’s Auditorium by 9.45am.

The convocation proper and award of certificates and degrees, prizes and postgraduates programmes starts on Saturday 21st October to Monday 23rd October 2023 while the entire programmes end with special Jummat service and thanksgiving Church service on 25th and 27th October 2023 respectively.
