Kwara Police Command has confirmed that the missing Professor Raphael Babatunde Adeniyi ’s phone had been found in Lafiaji, Edu Local Government of the state. Although, it said, his where about is still unknown.

Adeniyi, a professor in the Department of Mathematics, University of Ilorin, was declared missing by the family after he failed to return home on Wednesday June 9, 2021 from where he had gone to withdraw money at GTBank, Tanke Junction, in Ilorin.

There had been serious concern by his family and acquaintances on the disappearance of the university teacher, who a source says was recuperating after an illness.

When the same source hinted of a development in Lafiaji, this medium contacted the Kwara State Police Command. On enquiry, Dsp Ajayi Okasanmi, the Command’s Public Relations Officer said “it was true that Adeniyi’s phone was actually found with a small boy in Lafiaji” saying the Command was doing everything possible on the missing professor.
