The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Kwara State Command, on Tuesday, says it has arrested a 26 years old farmer, Ibrahim Enboma for attacking a teenage Fulani herder, Nasiru Sule, with cutlass and causing him grievous bodily harm.

According to the spokesman of the civil defence in Kwara State Babawale Zaid, the incident occurred at the suspect's farm at Gwanara, Baruten Local Government of Kwara State.

Report by the NSCDC Divisional Office at Gwanara, according to him, says the suspect met the 17-year old cattle herder on his farm with some guinea fowl eggs on the fateful day and accused Sule of stealing the eggs from his farm.

An argument later ensued between the duos, as Sule insisted that he did not steal the guinea fowl eggs from lbrahim's farm. Not satisfied with the Fulani boy's claim of innocence, He attacked him with a cutlass and left him in his pool of blood.

A passer- by alerted NSCDC operative to the scene of the incident and the injured Fulani boy was rushed to an undisclosed clinic at the neigbouring Moduro village.  He is said to be responding to treatment.

Afolabi  says the suspected farmer has since been arrest and taken to NSCDC custody at Gwanara Division for interrogation and further investigation.
