Tems and Burna Boy, two popular musicians from Nigeria, were among the nominees for the 65th Grammy Awards, which were revealed on Tuesday.

For the song “Wait for U,” Tems was nominated in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category along with Future and Drake.

Tems, whose real name is Temilade Openiyi, was also recognized for contributing to Beyonce’s album “Renaissance.”

The record was a finalist for Album of the Year.

Burna Boy was nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category for the song “Last Last.”

The latest album by the self-described “African Giant,” “Love, Damini,” was nominated in the category of Best Global Music Album.

The awards will be presented in Los Angeles on February 5, 2023.

Beyonce received nine nominations, followed by rapper Kendrick Lamar with eight, pop diva Adele, balladeer Brandi Carlile, who tied for seventh place with seven nominations each, and singer Adele.

With 88 nominations each, Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z are currently tied for the most Grammy nominations in history.
