Prof. Jeleel Ojuade, a Dance Drama Expert, who recently suggested the use of dance therapy to tackle Coronavirus (COVID-19) has been conferred with the title of Aare Alasa of Ifetedoland in Ife South Local Government Area of Osun State, by the Olubosin of Ifetedo, His Royal Majesty, Oba Akinola Oyetade Akinrera, Latiiri I.

Ojuade is stepping into the shoes of his late father, Alhaji Fatai Oladosu Ojuade (Baba Jeje), the first and immediate past Aare Alasa of Ifetedo.

The new title has further pushed the celebrated University of Ilorin scholar and President, Association of Dance Scholars and Practitioners of Nigeria into the Ifetedo Development Council, the power house of the community’s development body while also holding a major traditional portfolio as custodian of the town’s culture.

Among the eminent sons of the town is Mallam Yusuf Ali, SAN, who has been in the vanguard of the town’s development efforts.

The new Alasa said the Iwuye ceremony will be communicated as soon as possible.
